New WW2 exhibition launched

Today I co-ordinated the launch of a new world war two exhibition at Stratford Armouries which is situated on a former airfield and training base, RAF Snitterfield. The launch was attended by over 100 veterans, dignatories, school children and local enthusiasts. I wrote the invitation letters, organised a mail shot to 60 schools in the local area, booked the speakers, liased with the press and compered the event. I will also be writing up the launch for Warwickshire Life magazine.
The exhibition included the unveiling of the world famous Wellington Aviation Collection, previously owned and run by Gerry Tyack MBE in Moreton-in-Marsh. To launch the new collection Gerry, a World War Two veteran, talked about his career in the RAF and the role the Wellington played in winning the war. The launch also included a history of the role that RAF Snitterfield played in the war given by Iain Panton, the president of Stratford-Upon-Avon and District Branch Aircrew Association.
